Retained Executive Search in Communications

JC&A offers customized consulting services to assist clients, where Ms. Cushman’s experience in retained search meets clients’ needs.

On a project basis, Ms. Cushman can manage a search where the tasks are: candidate screening (not identification/research), evaluation, presentation to client and follow through with both client and candidate leading to a successful hire.

An organization may ask that JC&A evaluate an internal candidate for a position prior to making any decision about an external search.

Other services include: analysis of a position (or series of positions in the department) creating a position description and working with the hiring manager through the presentation (to management) of the report/recommendations. If a search is then authorized, any services normally included in a search process that were completed under a consulting contract, are credited to the final fees due in the search effort.

Should a client wish to have in-depth reference report prepared, JC&A will undertake that assignment separate from a search agreement.

Business counsel may be needed to assist entrepreneurs define key issues and determine strategy/direction that meets their personal and business goals. Ms. Cushman offers that service on a per diem basis.

Each project is spelled out in a Letter of Agreement with an estimate of time involved. The per diem charge is $2,500 or an hourly basis of $350 with a minimum of two hours. Once a project is defined and the fees approved, JC&A will not exceed those fees. The exception is if a project is redefined and the scope increases, necessitating additional time.
