Human Resources seemed to think that a requisition will be opened for the position, possibly in the spring 2006. January 30, 2006 [Judy Cushman] Here is an opportunity for senior executives to anonymously share with colleagues news about Vice Presidential searches and above. These may be the jobs a newly hired executive did not take. It may be news about developing searches before they are “officially” announced. Or, it could be information that tells colleagues to be on the alert for problems lurking below an attractive job description. This section will be as valuable as readers make it by their willingness to express their opinions and share information. Again, no sources will be revealed. I am starting this section with an informal list of jobs. What firms are handling searches and what do we know about how good the job is, the requirements/compensation level? This is meant to be a clearinghouse for senior corporate officers who are interested in knowing what options there are. Of course, these would be opportunities my sources are not interested in pursuing. Also, if there were any information about the job or the hiring organization (e.g. they have been looking for so long; I’m not sure they know what they want. Or, this is an excellent opportunity for a hard charger who wants to work all the time and make a killing.) I would be happy to post all of this information on this page. Preliminary information about searches: Title: VP, Communications Company: Sybase - Filled, see VP Hires & Above Title: VP, Public Affairs (Some Public Affairs & Media Relations Experience) Company: Chase Title: EVP, Communications Company: JC&A Client - life sciences company in Seattle (Offer accepted, no official announcement yet) Recently filled searches: Title: Sr. VP Level, Corporate Communications Company: Washington Mutual (this position was recently filled by Sari Macrie from Cardinal Health) Title: VP, PR Company: Unisys Title: VP, Shanghai Office Company: Edelman Title: VP, Media Relations/Communications Company: Experian (Filled late 2005) |
